Warranty Information
5-Year Limited Warranty
Every WindowShades360 shade is backed by our 5-Year Limited Warranty. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for a period of five years from the original date of purchase. We stand behind the quality of our products and are committed to resolving any issues that arise from manufacturing defects.
This warranty applies to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.
What's Covered
Our 5-Year Limited Warranty covers the following components:
- Motor mechanism — including the drive system, gears, and internal motor components.
- Fabric integrity — protection against peeling, delamination, or premature fading under normal indoor use conditions.
- Control electronics — circuit boards, receivers, and wireless communication modules.
- Mounting hardware — brackets, screws, and mounting accessories included with your shade.
What's Not Covered
The following are not covered under our standard warranty:
- Normal wear and tear — gradual changes in appearance that occur over time with regular use.
- Damage from misuse or modification — alterations, unauthorized repairs, or use outside of the product's intended purpose.
- Damage from improper installation — issues resulting from installation that does not follow our provided instructions or video guides.
- Damage from extreme weather — outdoor shades are covered under a separate 2-year warranty. Indoor shades are not designed for exterior use.
- Cosmetic damage after installation — scratches, dents, or stains that occur after the product has been installed and used.
How to Make a Claim
To submit a warranty claim, please email our warranty team at warranty@windowshades360.com with the following information:
- Your order number and date of purchase.
- Photos of the issue — clear images showing the defect or damage.
- A description of the problem — when it started, how it affects operation, and any troubleshooting steps you have already tried.
Our warranty team will review your claim and respond within 2-3 business days. If approved, we will arrange for a repair or replacement at no additional cost.
Warranty Extensions
Want additional peace of mind? We offer an Extended 3-Year Warranty that can be added at checkout. This extends your total coverage to 8 years and includes the same comprehensive protection as the standard warranty.
The extended warranty must be purchased at the time of your original order and cannot be added after the fact.
Motor Warranty
All motors used in WindowShades360 products carry a separate 3-Year Motor Warranty that covers mechanical and electrical components. This includes:
- Internal motor drive failure
- Electrical component malfunction
- Wireless receiver or communication module defects
- Battery performance below rated capacity under normal use
The motor warranty runs concurrently with the product warranty. If your motor fails within 3 years, it will be replaced free of charge.
